The L-39 AUP began implementing HUD, HMD and LAAD avionics in the established L-39 fleet for flight training. The avionics software package is developed entirely in-house, allowing for rapid deployment of upgrades to meet new instructional requirements.
The AUP combines Embedded Tactical Simulation (ETS) capabilities with an advanced Human Machine Interface (HMI) architecture to train to a tactical scan and information processing reflective of modern advanced fighter aircraft. This optimised aircraft configuration can simulate advanced weapons, data link and sensor fusion capabilities.
